Hi! I am a 4th grade teacher, pilates instructor and love all things health and wellness related. I started my Instagram account, @thehealthylittlefoodie_ in late 2018.
My account is centered around healthy living through recipes, fitness, non-toxic beauty and skincare, and incorporating healthy habits & choices in my everyday lifestyle.
My love for baking and cooking started at a young age, with my mom and my grandmother in the kitchen. I would always come home from school and beg my mom to take me to the grocery store to grab ingredients to bake new recipes. At just 12 years old, I was attending cooking camps and cooking schools, learning new techniques to use at home. My love for baking continued throughout middle school and high school, and my mom urged me to stop creating so many sweets treats in the house. It was a blessing and a curse. When I went off to college at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX, I developed an allergy towards gluten and leaky gut. I was not discouraged by this... I was determined to continue cooking and baking but ensure that my recipes were gluten-free and mostly refined-sugar free.
I started this blog to share my guilt-free recipes, balanced lifestyle hacks and positivity with all of you! I currently live in Dallas, Texas, so excuse me now if I say "y'all" far too many times in my blog. I am excited to share my simple, tasty and healthy recipes with y'all! Let's do this!
